MedEdits Medical School Applicant: I think what we talked about regarding interviews made a huge difference- I had a very cohesive story to tell and was better prepared for the last two interviews- I wish I had known about you sooner before I had my earlier interviews! I felt as if God had sent you to us. Again, my deepest thanks. [Follow up: Client will matriculate at Mount Sinai where client interviewed after prepping with Dr. Freedman.]
MedEdits Medical School Applicant:The mock [medical school] interview gave me a foundation for anything that could be thrown at me during my actual interview. It gave me a chance to go over answers with someone in the field who I did not know, and helped overcome some of the nervousness of being interviewed. Dr. Freedman was able to give me the basic questions that I should expect and have solid answers for. She also helped me organize my own thoughts in the way that would be most effective during the interview. Her knowledge in this arena benefited me greatly. Being an international student, my chance of acceptance in this highly competitive process is even smaller than the typical U.S. applicant. Dr. Freedman used her knowledge of the admissions process to assist me in making sure I portrayed that my cultural background would both an asset to the school and medicine. She knew what would separate me from the rest of the applicant pool, and I do believe that this greatly benefited me. I would say that Dr. Freedman and MedEdits are fast and meticulous about their service. They are personable and you feel like your application/situation is given personal attention. Dr. Freedman is very knowledgeable and they look for the positives, while at the same time assisting you with presenting any flaws in your application. MedEdits helped me be more confident about the application that I was presenting during my interview. I was given the tools necessary to put my best foot forward, and show why I was indeed a good candidate. I felt very prepared for my interview after the mock interview session. While I knew that I could be asked anything I felt that the basic answers were covered, I knew how to talk about myself and my unique situation, as well as how to confront any negatives on my application if questioned about it. MedEdits seemed the most in tune with the medical field than other companies and people I consider hiring. Some other services are general, taking applications from all fields and others are run by people who haven’t sat on medical school admissions committees. With something as important as medical school application, I wanted a service with a more specific ambition and first hand knowledge about the process. [Follow up: Client was accepted to their first choice medical school.]
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantDr. Freedman has been wonderfully helpful and supportive throughout the AMCAS process. Dr. Freedman did do a lot for not only me this year, but also my family (sisters, parents and grandparents) who have been watching me struggle with medical school applications these last two years. Her aim is find out what drives a pre-medical student to become a future physician, and single out qualities that make an applicant unique. I received help with editing my activities section and personal statement, as well as practiced interviewing with Dr. Freedman. Her help allowed me to express my passion for the field and to better articulate the strength of my application. More importantly, she helped me realize that I was an asset to the field. After being rejected two times from medical schools, despite a good gpa and solid mcat scores, I felt that there was something inherently wrong with me. After picking apart my application, Dr. Freedman pointed out where and why schools were overlooking my application. Following up the application edits with practice interviews also strengthen my candidacy greatly. Mock interviews with Dr. Freedman gave me confidence to approach interviews with an attitude of eagerness to learn rather than a self-contained, reticent disposition. I will be entering an excellent medical school next year, and my gratitude to Dr. Freedman and MedEdits for their help is endless. I recommend her services to anyone who is eager to pursue medicine with a drive to help better the healthcare field, and the quality of patient care.

I GOT INTO MEDICAL SCHOOL!!! Thank you so much. I cannot tell you how much it has meant to have your support, Dr. Freedman. Looking back on this process, there was no one that offered better advice or preparation for my essays and the interview. It was such a great advantage to have your insider's knowledge of the admission system and without a doubt it helped me greatly...I never once spoke to the premed advisors [at my Ivy League undergraduate college] throughout this process. MedEdits Medical School ApplicantWith the medical school admissions process becoming more competitive each year, I wanted a way to stand out in the application process and thus sought assistance from MedEdits and Dr. Freedman to improve my chances of receiving an acceptance. With MedEdits and Dr. Freedman's assistance, I was able to ensure that all my application materials were well-written, concise, and targeted towards each school. Furthermore, with Dr. Freedman's experience in admissions, I felt much more confident and prepared during the whole admission process, which at times can be painstakingly long.I would highly recommend Dr. Freedman and MedEdits to anyone who wants to ensure they put forth the best application possible. [Follow: Client was accepted to their first choice medical school.]
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantBefore speaking with Dr. Freedman, I was under the assumption that the application process itself did not matter and that my work and scores would speak for themselves. This was not the case and sadly I learned the hard way when I was rejected by all medical schools my first round. Then, I hired Dr. Freedman. After using Dr. Freedman's services to prepare for my first interview during my second round of applying, I realized how important it was to unveil and highlight my best qualities. The application process is critical as it is your opportunity to show who you are. Dr. Freedman convinced me of this and helped me to perfect my self-presentation. Throughout the application process, she was always available, flexible and responsive to every query. Furthermore, I always feel at ease in our conversations and absolutely trust every piece of advice she offers. She is never wrong! I ended up getting into my first choice school and am thrilled with the results of her counseling. I definitely intend to use Dr. Freedman's assistance for my residency process.Thank you again, Dr. Freedman!
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantDr. Freedman: I want to tell you that I am very grateful for your help [with my personal statement and AMCAS application] and service. Your help provided me with the guidance and encouragement I needed to really put my best case out on paper. I will definitely use your services again for secondary essay edits, interview preparation and more guidance.
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantDr. Freedman and MedEdits are outstanding! I applied to medical schools as a non-traditional student. With advice from Dr. Freedman I was able to generate a unique personal statement and secure numerous interviews at prestigious institutions. Dr. Freedman's instructions about the interview process were precise. I thank Dr. Freedman and MedEdits for helping me secure entrance into the medical school of my choice and I look forward to working with them again when I submit my residency application. I highly recommend MedEdits!!

Dr. Freedman: I have had many informal and formal advisors in this process but no one has given me the outstanding advice that you have. The premed advisor at [my ivy league school] was not able to give me the outstanding advice that you were. You are focused on my application and are truly concerned about my success. Having your insider perspective has really helped me to understand how admissions officers think. You have helped me to understand what I should highlight on my interview and how to make up for deficiencies in my application. Your help has really been invaluable. Thank you for everything. MedEdits Medical School CientI am so grateful that I found MedEdits. Your help with my personal statement, AMCAS application and secondary essays has been immensely helpful. It was worth every penny. I really don't know how I would have done without you. I am sure that if the word got out, that every medical school applicant would hire you. Thank you.
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantMedEdits helped my chances of admission by helping me see the importance of stressing particular aspects (such as patient care) of my resume. MedEdits helped me gain a better perspective of medicine and patient care as well as helped me eliminate language problems that I would not have caught. I had a better sense of medicine and how to frame pre-med issues/goals. You get two edits for the price of one. Not only do you get writing advice but a medical perspective as well.....I've been interviewed at five med schools so far, and I have been admitted to two. As such, I've started turning down interviews
MedEdits Medical School Client Thank you so much for all of your help. I really could not have done this without you. I will recommend you to ALL my friends and family members and hope that someday I could be like you. I really love my personal statement now. I am indebted to you Dr. Freedman.
As they always say, two heads are better than one. I think Dr. Freedman and the professional writer looked at my work through different perspectives, which is ultimately very helpful because more than one person with different perspectives is going to read my personal statement and entries. Knowing that two people are reading my work makes me feel more comfortable and confident with the revisions I make. Dr. Freedman is the most helpful, brilliant, kind and encouraging person. She was so prompt in returning the revisions on my work or any questions I had in general. At the same time, every revision I received had so much thought and hard work behind it. I never felt like I was just some person in the bunch getting help. Her type of help was individually focused and she gave me her utmost attention. I truly feel that I received more help than what I paid for. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional person who will NOT let you down. I would recommend MedEdits to a friend and tell them that this company has completely transformed my application. MedEdits has helped me forget about my weaknesses in my application by building my strengths in other areas of my application. MedEdits is definitely going to improve my chances of admission...I am so excited with the final revised documents that I would read them over and over again not believing that my accomplishments can look so good on paper with just the proper word choice. MedEdits is so efficient and so reliable. They are prompt and complete with every revision. Whenever I would email them my documents, Dr. Freedman would immediately let me know when I could expect them and she was always true to her word. I think that everything about MedEdits is impeccable." [Follow up: I got into my #1 choice school: UCLA!!!! Honestly, going to you for help was the best decision I ever made. I hope everybody hires you because there isn't anybody better. I cannot thank you enough for your help. I will continue to tell everyone that I owe my success to you.] MedEdits Medical School Applicant
It is helpful to receive suggestions from multiple people on your documents because multiple people will be reading the applications. Dr. Freedman was very professional and helpful even before I had signed up with MedEdits. I spoke to her and she gave me more information about how MedEdits could help me. She really helped improve my personal statement and activities. I'm sure MedEdits improved my AMCAS application and personal statement. This is the first impression medical schools will get of me and with MedEdits, I am sure I submitted the best documents I could have. MedEdits is very efficient and always sent me back well revised documents within a few days. Parent of a MedEdits Medical School ClientWe appreciate all the help you have given our son, a medical school reapplicant, during the application process. We definitely feel your guidance helped him immensely. Both my son and I feel that your intimate knowledge of the medical school admissions process gave us a thorough and sound advice throughout the entirety of the application cycle, from filling out the AMCAS to interview day. We definitely feel your help strengthened the AMCAS application and your interview feedback provided the confidence to perform well no matter the school. Working with you definitely improved my son's chances of acceptance. [Follow up: son will matriculate at a top US medical school.]
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantI'M IN! Thank you for your advice and encouragement throughout this grueling process. Thank you for helping me with my medical school application. As you know, this was my third time applying to schools and was about to give up. Thank you for all of your help. [Follow up: client was a third time applicant who was accepted to several US medical schools.]
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantI got accepted to medical school! I definitely thought the interview preparation helped. At all schools I have been at I was noticeably less nervous than other applicants. I felt very confident and well-prepared thanks to your advice and encouragement! Thanks so much for all of your help. As a reapplicant, I really think you took my application to the next level with your advice and expert editing team! Dr. Freedman and her editing team helped turn a decent application into an excellent one, greatly enhancing my AMCAS entries, personal statement, and even providing help on secondaries.

[Regarding interview preparation], Dr. Freedman gave common questions the admissions committee would ask, and strategies on how to answer them, as well as how to direct the interview. She answered all of my questions during our session, and continued to be available to answer questions throughout the interview process. She was also very supportive throughout the entire process. I didn't expect her to check up on me periodically as she did, asking where I got in, and if there was anything else she could do. She stayed in touch frequently over email and I was excited to let her know when I was accepted. She is absolutely fantastic! Dr. Freedman didn't seem as though she was just running a business, she also sincerely cares about the students. [Follow up: client was accepted to several University of California medical schools.] MedEdits Medical School ApplicantThank you again for your help in preparing for my interview at UVa. I was asked most of the questions that we had gone over. I also stressed [the topic] that you told me about. I suppose that they liked me because five days later I received an acceptance letter from UVa =). So thank you once again for your help in this process. With your mock interview I entered my interview confident and prepared.
MedEdits Medical School ClientI think the Med Edits [interview] prep session really helped. I was ready for alot of the questions that they asked me and was at ease while answering them. After talking to you, I knew what activities to highlight that would really make me stand out from the crowd. They loved hearing about my experiences [that we discussed during my mock interview]. Thank you again for your help. I will keep you posted on the rest of my interview experiences! [Follow up: I just wanted to let you know that I got into Baylor!! I am so excited! Thank you so much for your help!" Client was accepted to several other outstanding medical schools.]
MedEdits Medical School ApplicantIn the beginning of the med school admissions cycle, I found it extremely difficult to navigate the process and to position my application as competitively as possible. However, my experience was significantly improved when I started working with Dr. Freedman at MedEdits, and I would wholeheartedly recommend the service to any applicant.
I was referred to MedEdits through a colleague, and I was a bit skeptical about working with an outside consultancy. The first time I spoke with Dr. Freedman however, she had already reviewed my file in detail, and really impressed me with her thoughtfulness and level of enthusiasm. “You have a very interesting background,” was the first thing she told me. It was followed by a description of my strengths and what to emphasize about my past experiences, as well as ways to address the weaknesses I had. That first discussion gave me a lot of insight into the process. There are certain things that these admission committees will be looking for, and hearing that perspective from someone who is committed to seeing you get accepted is an invaluable asset. For me personally, it also helped me see my own application in a different light, and my atypical experiences as assets instead of items I felt I need to explain. Dr. Freedman and MedEdits showed a level of personal commitment to my application that was unparalleled, even from my own advisor in graduate school. At times I found myself referring to Dr. Freedman as "coach," which actually depicts her role quite accurately. She became the first person I talked to when I heard any news or needed advice, and I could tell she had a genuine interest in seeing me succeed. The mock interview also gave me a great platform to get comfortable talking about my interest in medicine, and how that tied to my other experiences. Dr. Freedman helped me refine my message and understand what aspects of my application to discuss. The same week as my practice, I had interviews at two schools, and felt extremely prepared. There was a great deal of overlap between the practice and actual interview, and I ended up doing very well at both schools. When I started working with Dr. Freedman, it was the first time that I felt I really had a partner in the process - someone in my corner who could bring some order to the chaos. For anyone who is serious about applying to medical school, given how competitive it has gotten recently, I can't overemphasize that this help will be more than worth it! [In a follow up message] I will matriculate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Thank you!!! MedEdits Medical School ApplicantWhen I first began the process of applying to Medical School, I was terrified of rejection. My MCAT scores were not high enough and my GPA had been smeared by C’s early in my Academic career. I could not rely on my Ivy League guidance counselors for advice as they were already over occupied with masses of pre-med’s and they barely even knew me (aside from some disheartening words early in my academic career). Understanding the incredibly competitive and strenuous nature of the Medical School admission process, I decided that my dream of becoming a physician was worth the price of an editing/advising service. A friend, also applying to Medical School at the time, had hired Dr. Freedman and raved about her services. Fortunately, I trusted his advice and made the best decision for my future, I hired Dr. Freedman.
The amount paid to Dr. Freedman, helping me to package and portray my years of hard work and dedication to admissions committee’s, was worth every single penny. Ultimately, Dr. Freedman helped me to focus my application and essays on the experiences and qualities that would help me to stand out among applicants. Dr. Freedman was my coach through the application process! She not only edited my essays so that they were pristine, but she pushed me to write more and/or to change an essay topic if she thought I could do better. Dr. Freedman’s goal was to see me accepted to my dream medical schools, not just to edit my essays. I never felt as if I was using an editing or advising service, but I felt as if a friend was helping me to prepare one of the most important applications of my life. Moreover, she bolstered my confidence in my application, helping me to write (and later interview) with conviction. Dr. Freedman’s familiarity and comprehension of the admissions process alleviated my fears and ensured that I didn’t make any naïve errors while applying. I am sooo grateful to Dr. Freedman. She helped me to be more successful than I had ever imagined. Before speaking with Dr. Freedman, I thought I would be lucky to gain one Medical School interview. However, despite my less than stellar “numbers,” I was asked to interview at 11 medical schools and was accepted to 5 medical schools!!!! I am still shocked and thrilled! Thanks to the aid and guidance of Dr. Freedman, I will soon begin my studies at one of US New’s top 50 medical schools. Not only is Dr. Freedman a tremendously gifted writer, editor, and advisor, but she is also dedicated and devoted to her clients. Dr. Freedman’s skill, experience, and earnestness helped me to be more successful than I had ever imagined. She made an incredible difference in my essays and application overall, I cannot thank her enough!!!! I am so excited to begin Medical School in August, and I know that Dr. Freedman helped to make this possible☺ Ultimately, I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Freedman’s services to anyone who is serious about gaining admission to medical school and to anyone who wants to make their application the best it can possibly be. Knowing too many qualified applicants who were not accepted to medical school, the importance of having a flawless application should not be ignored. I have experienced first-hand how Dr. Freedman can make the seemingly impossible absolutely achievable. I will definitely use Dr. Freedman’s services when applying for residency! She is the best!!! |
